Potty Learning

potty learning

We bought the potty a while ago but only just started trying it out. He will sit and read on it for a while but still goes on the floor, lol.

Bigger here.

We have also started using cloth again. A few of the diapers still smell bad but they haven't been giving him rashes so far. We have had so many problems with them & I really hope we don't have to buy all new ones!

Anyone have any suggestions to get the smell out?

Do you any kind of soap at all when washing them? bum cream that could be left on them?

if yes, it could be buildup and stripping them would help with that...

To strip them... follow this...

1. Wash in very hot water...
2. Wash a second time but this time add 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 c vinegar then add another 1/2c vinegar in the first rinse
3. Second rinse with plain water

then repeat the whole thing again...

I did try the vin. & baking soda once. I may not have done it in that order though - I will do the stinky ones again. They were stinky and when he would pee it would smell of ammonia sooo bad & give him a rash!!! So far no ammonia smell & no rashes just a yucky smell.

I did use bum cream & I think that was my biggest problem.

Thanks!!

Oh yeah - I did use Charlie's Soap but he got a bad burn from them so now I use Allen's. What kind do you use?

I use soap nuts on diapers and clothing...

search my blog to know more about them... they are really great at cleaning, cheap and don't leave residue...
